Risk Disclosure
Last updated: 6 November 2026
Trading leveraged products can result in the loss of all of your capital and, with some brokers, more than your deposit. Automated copying adds its own risks. Read this before connecting a live account.
1. General trading risk
Foreign exchange, contracts for difference (CFDs), precious metals, indices, cryptocurrencies and other leveraged instruments are complex and carry a high risk of losing money rapidly. Leverage magnifies both gains and losses. Prices can gap over weekends and news events, stop-loss orders are not guaranteed to fill at the requested price, and liquidity can vanish. You should only trade with money you can afford to lose and should understand how the instruments work before trading.
2. CopyTraderTool is a tool, not advice
CopyTraderTool Ltd provides software that replicates trading actions between accounts you control. We are not a broker, investment adviser or portfolio manager. We do not assess the suitability of any strategy, provider or setting for you. Listing a provider in our catalog is not a recommendation. All decisions, including which source to copy and how much risk to take, are yours alone.
3. Past performance
Statistics shown for providers (growth, win rate, drawdown, trade counts) are historical, may be based on limited data, and are not indicative of future results. A strategy that has been profitable can lose money at any time. Your results will differ from the provider’s because of your broker’s prices, spreads, commissions, swaps, execution speed, symbol availability, account size, lot rounding and the risk settings you choose.
4. Risks specific to automated copying
- Latency and slippage. There is always a delay between the source event and execution on your account. During volatile markets the price can move materially in that time. Latency we display is measured after the fact and does not predict future latency.
- Missed, duplicated or partial trades. Connectivity interruptions, broker rejections, insufficient margin, symbol mismatches, trading-hours differences or software faults can cause trades to be missed, executed late, executed twice or only partly closed. Open positions may remain on your account if a close instruction fails.
- Signal parsing. Telegram signals are human-written text. Despite careful parsing, entries, stops, take-profits or follow-up instructions may be misread or missed, especially in unusual formats. Review parsed signals and use the “skip signals without SL” and risk-percent settings.
- Configuration errors. A wrong multiplier, lot mode, symbol mapping or disabled stop-loss can lead to positions far larger or less protected than intended. Test on a demo account first and start small.
- Broker and prop-firm rules. Some brokers and funding programmes prohibit or restrict copy trading, automated execution, certain latencies or hedging. Violations can result in closed accounts or forfeited funded status. Checking and complying with these rules is your responsibility.
- EquityShield limits. Protection rules act on equity values received from your broker and can only react after the threshold is observed. Gaps, delayed data, broker rejections of close orders or connectivity loss can cause the realised loss to exceed the configured limit. EquityShield reduces risk; it does not eliminate it.
- Third-party dependence. The Service relies on your broker, MetaTrader infrastructure, Telegram, connectivity providers and cloud hosting. Any of them can fail or change without notice.
- Unsupervised operation. Copiers run while you are away. Positions can be opened and losses incurred without your real-time awareness. Enable email alerts and check your accounts regularly.
5. No guarantees
We make no representation that any user has achieved or will achieve profits or that losses will be limited. Testimonials or use cases shown on our website are illustrative. Any figures in the product mock-ups on our website are examples, not actual results.
6. Your acknowledgement
By using CopyTraderTool you confirm that you have read and understood this disclosure, that you accept the risks described, that you will seek independent advice if you are unsure, and that CopyTraderTool Ltd is not liable for trading losses as set out in the Terms of Service.
